New Beginnings

Updated: Mar 18, 2020

You know… I never thought about owning my own business. Until this year. A few people have mentioned that I should have one, but MEEEE?

I’ve helped a few business owners outside my regular job over the years with bookkeeping, organization, administration, sales, business startup, closing to sell and the list goes on.

As time went on and my longing to help more business owners grew stronger, I’ve decided to take the “leap” and register a business. Anyone that knows me knows that I am all about budgets, stability and planning. Starting a business only has so much of that in the beginning. You don’t get to be comfortable while working for an employer day in and day out KNOWING that you’re going to get that pay cheque every two weeks. It’s much more than that, it’s landing customers, connecting, networking, putting yourself out there and that’s SCARY!

I get asked, “What do you do?” well, um.. As I stumble over my words. I KNOW what I do, I know how to do it and do it well. But how do I put that in words to extrude confidence and instill trust into the receiving party? Practice.

My thoughts are always about how to present my services. Taking notes is essential, especially when ideas come at the oddest time. Using my loved ones like my poor husband has to listen to my marketing strategies, post ideas, speeches and of course thoughts.

Now, here I am. I’m putting “myself out there” as much as I can during this Covid-19 shutdown. I’m positive about my future, TaskWave’s future.
